Janine Cook passed away at McKeenen Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Friday August 25th, 2017 at the age of 77 with her husband and children present. Janine, the daughter of Clifford and Bernice Wilmot, was born in Spencer, Iowa on June 27th, 1940. Janine's childhood was spent in Terril, Iowa where she later graduated from Terril High School in 1958. Craig's job moved the family around the country where Janine created loving homes in Stillwater, Minnesota, Logan, Utah, Wichita, Kansas, and finally settling Green Bay, Wisconsin, where they have lived for the past 24 years. Some of Janine's fondest memories were from summers spent at their summer residence on West Lake Okoboji . Janine was very active member of the Lutheran Church, Garden Club and Book Club. In her free time, Janine loved to work with her hands with needlepoint, knitting and quilting. She loved attending her children's sporting and theater events and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. “Dear Cook Family--I am a co-worker of Randy's. I am so sorry for your loss & all of you have been in my prayers since Randy let me know the news that Mrs. Cook wasn't doing well. I'm originally from Nebraska, so he & I have shared many a story about our lives growing up on the Midwest & Randy's one summer in Schuyler, NE, working in the packing plant during college. We both have similar backgrounds growing up, including strong family values. We just lost our mom in May & I have shared with Randy our mom's journey as her health declined...and he was actually like a counselor to me, knowing I could talk to him about it and he would understand. My continued thoughts & prayers to all of you now & in the coming days. Cherish your memories to help you through the tough times. I totally understand what you are going through. With continued thoughts & prayers.”
