“Donna was an incredible person who was so thoughtful of others even in the depths of her own grief. She bore the loss of both her daughters and her husband with a solemn dignity that helped the rest of us through those difficult times. She was fun, a great cook, very intelligent, kind, and compassionate. I shall miss her very much.”

“I graduated from East High with Donna. Less than a week before she died I had called to remind her of our "Girls of 56" breakfast at Perkins. She told me she wouldn't be there for a while but didn't explain. I always enjoyed my call to her each month. We chatted a long time. She was so happy her granddaughter was going to Iowa State. She always came to our class reunions. She was always upbeat and fun. She will be missed.”
