     Maerene Mason, the daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Heien) Curry was born October 23, 1929 in Spencer, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where she attended school and graduated from Spencer High School in 1947. She then attended Ft. Dodge Beauty Academy in 1948. She worked for the Federal Government Missile Division in Santa Monica, CA as a keypunch operator and verifier for 3 years.

     Mickey married Wayne Mason on June 25, 1960 in Ruthven, IA. She owned and operated her own beauty parlor, and worked for Blair’s House of Beauty, before retiring to stay home with her children. She started the Women’s Group at Assembly of God Church and was a member of First English Lutheran Church.

     Mickey passed away on Friday, November 03, 2017 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne; her 2 sons, Scott and Jeff Mason; one brother, Duane and one sister, Helen Fisher.

     Left to cherish her memory are her 6 grandchildren; one brother, Darrell “Buzz” Curry of Spencer, IA; sister-in-law, Geraldine Curry of Estherville, IA; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Mason of Spencer, IA; other relatives; and many friends.

SERVICES
Memorial services will take place 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 8, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
OFFICIATING
Rev. Tonna Parsons
VISITATION
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
MUSIC
