“I am so sorry to hear about Jim! He was always such an influence for our students! He had a way about him that made history come alive! I will always remember him calling me "the pain" because I was always wanting him to share his knowledge with my students in some way or another. He always made time for my students though!! His barn was always a big hit on our field trips, and I always considered Jim, a friend! May his family find comfort in this hard time and remember how giving he was of his talents and knowledge! He will be greatly missed!

“Mr. Hass was wonderful when he would explain all of his memorabilia to my students. A trip to Peterson was always eagerly awaited; I had taught the kids what to expect, but I NEVER told them about the skeleton, aka....his former wife! He delighted in telling them that! He was such a friendly man, and the kids loved him. I am sorry for your loss, and also happy for you that you had such a good man to love. My condolences. ”
