“Burgers on the deck at the lake, skiing behind Ollie's boat, golfing, Super Bowl parties, Friday night fish fries - the Vogt family occupies a big part of my idyllic childhood. Sigh. I'm thinking of you all and sending my love and sympathy. Kay (and Dan and Ben, who've also enjoyed time with the late, great Oliver Oscar Vogt). ”

“Louise, Ron, Mike and family,
Ollie was just one of those great guys to know. I even talked him out of retirement to catch for my fast pitch softball team. Ollie's smile was a mile wide. I think it was because he knew he had a special lady in Louise and three great kids that he was so proud of. He and Jim Fanning are now swapping baseball stories in the big park above. And Ollie is only talking about how good the Cardinals are. Our sympathy Dave and Sharyl Potratz”

“Our deepest sympathies go out to all of you . Losing a parent is sad but knowing they are on their way home gives us great comfort. As the ship disappears from the dock it reappears at a dock on the other side. We are very proud to have known him all these years, he and Louise were such great friends to our folks and to us as well. There are way too many memories of the Vogt’s to share. Just know that we love you all.”

“So very sorry for your loss. I loved having Mr. Vogt for my math teacher and study hall monitor. I loved his sense of humor!! I was in his class when President Kennedy was shot and he showed so much compassion that terrible day. He was a good guy!! Karen and I cheered together and Ron and I graduated together and my sister graduated with their youngest son. I always felt a connection with Olie and his family. God Bless you all. Sending prayers and hugs. Lots of good memories. Vicki Seversen ”
