“In recent years I found a note Tommy had written to my sister, Vicki, when she was very ill and spent several months in a Sioux City hospital. It was 1956 and they were both 4th graders at Everly school. The class
wrote many letters of encouragement to her during this time. Tom had conveyed get well wishes to her and said, “ I will be right here waiting for you when you get back”. I’d like to think she was there waiting for Tom when he reached his eternal home. Deepest sympathy to the Slawson family, you’re in my thoughts.
God bless, Karla Pearson Eberly”

“To the Family
I was saddened to hear of the lost of your dear loved one.
We read of the Bible's promise of a paradise earth where we soon will be able to live out our lives the way that God intended and to enjoy life to the full. (Isa. 65:21-25) Hold on to that hope and please accept my condolences.”

“We are shocked and heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing, and send our deepest sympathy to the family. Tom was in Kirby's class, and he recalls many "adventures" they had together growing up in Everly. We were fortunate to have known Tom later in life as well, and we'll miss his great smile, and easy going nature. May the Lord bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead. ”
