The Marathon Class of 1968 would like to express our deepest condolences to you on the passing Patty. We just had a class reunion a couple weekends ago and she was missed. We talked about what a sweet person your mom was and how hard she had fought her multiple cancer treatments. I had visited your mom at University of Iowa hospitals a few years ago and she had such a strong faith and spirit. The class reunion gave me a chance to reconnect with some of the girls in our class and I am passing along condolences from Judy Peterson, Linda Baedke, Lois Hartman, Diane Retting, Carma Okerberg and Ginny Faulkner. . Also Lynn Johnason.

“Luc, Misty and Family-- Your mom was the sweetest lady! So strong...also tender. She amazed me that she was able to come to church even on the most difficult and painful days during her cancer treatment. I know you know this...but she is now in the presence of a glorified, pain-free more more pain. I am so sad for you, your kids and the rest of your family as I know you miss her greatly. But at the same time, I am so happy for your sweet mom who is now enjoying her reward. Grace and peace to you all.”

“Pat and I go back a long way. The first time Pat came to my door she had a Bible in her hand and had written in it. She asked if I knew Jesus ...I told her sure I know Jesus but she led me down a different' "Jesus" path I'd never been down before. Our friendship held many serious and fun moments together. Way too many to mention. I know where Pat is resting now and I'm so happy for her...she mentioned to me awhile back she could wait to meet her lord and savior......well ....she is with him now and I can see her enjoying every minute of her time with hin. I'll miss her and our friendship.....but i can't grieve for her as I know what going to meet Jesus met to her....she said....Dee I'm satisfied with that.....Rest in peace my friend....someday I hope to meet you there.....Dee ”

“My heart is broken. Pat has been my dear friend for years. She lived next door to me when both Shayla and Luke were born. We were with one another daily and have kept in touch all these years. I never met a stronger lady, she went through so much and fought all the way and never gave up. And she loved her family more than anything. RIP in peace Pat. Fly with the Angels. I will miss you , always.
