“Dear Connie, Tom and Family, We are sorry for your loss of Carlton. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. What to say about our adopted Dad? A great friend to both of us, always doing wonderful carpenter projects for us , carvings , advise, a great fixer of everything, a wonderful golf partner, pool player and all around good man. We have enjoyed the 44 years in the neighborhood knowing Maxine and Carlton, great fun sharing meals and special times with them at one of our homes. We have gained a sister in Connie and a Brother in Tom by being part of a wonderful family. It is hard to not be able to call or go over to visit with our adopted Mom and Dad. As Mary would say you are floating on your cloud with your Sweetie Maxine. May God Bless you all and Rest in Peace Carlton . We Love and miss you both, Mike and Mary”

“Condolences to Connie and the Quee family. I knew Carlton when we both worked for my Uncle Evert. He took an immediate dislike to me and said: "I don't know why, I just see red when I look at that kid." He was probably right. RIP”

“Carlton and Mom went to school together so very many years ago. And then as tenants at Riverview Terrace, they became reacquainted. Carlton would often sit outside, soaking up the sunshine, and greeting everyone as they arrived...always a nice gesture. Mom enjoyed visiting with Carlton about the old days, the people they knew in common, and the many hours they both spent working jigsaw puzzles. Her life was made richer through knowing him! Carlton will be missed by many. May God's peace be with you now and in the days to come. ”

“Connie,Elmer and other family members - We lost a very special person today, but he clearly received his ultimate wishes! He was a steady corner-post to many people in his presence and unselfishly gave calm and love wherever he ventured. I feel grateful and hope to pass it forward. Thank you Uncle Carlton!
