“Joan and family we express our deepest condolences to all of you. Don was one of the finest gentleman I ever met. I considered him a close friend , a mentor and a leader. He helped me a lot when I was working for the IDOT with the county engineers. He was always willing to give advice and counsel on how to work with his peers. I have no idea how much trouble I stayed away from because of his advice. Joan you and Don invited me into your home and for that I felt extremely fortunate. Thanks bunches. I wish I could be with you for a bit while you are going through these troubling times. We love you.”
