“My sympathy to the Geerdes family. Aproximately 1962, I was determined to watch a man wrestle a bear in Primghar. The band bus left without me and Ed found room in a car full of boys for our return to Everly. A greatful feeling that I have held for the Geerdes family. God Bless all of you.”

“Dear Ellen and all of the Geerdes family,
We were sorry to read of Ed's passing. He was one of the friendly faces that welcomed us to First English Lutheran Church, when we joined during the ground breaking and the building of the new church location. He shared a long standing history with his membership and the changes that had transpired over the many years that he was a member. He will be missed by many. May many loving memories and his deep seated faith bring you comfort at this difficult time of loss. Tom and Mary Galik”
