Terry Lee Falline, the son of Kenneth W. and Ella Mae (Peppmeier) Falline, was born May 14, 1949, in Spencer, IA. He was raised and attended school here, graduating from Spencer High School. Following graduation, he entered the military on October 8, 1968, serving in the U.S. Navy. He served mostly stateside but also served in Alaska for a brief time. He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1970. He reenlisted and was in the Naval Reserve for an additional four years.

On January 5, 1974, Terry married Debra Long in Spencer, IA. To this union two daughters were born: Terra and Deena. The couple later divorced. Terry worked in the construction business for a while, and then worked for Eaton’s and Aalf’s Manufacturing until 1999, when he took care of his mother. Terry was an avid sports fan, especially football and watching the Minnesota Vikings. He loved to joke around and play pranks on people; he had a great sense of humor. He would do anything for people, he loved to help those in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending the grandkids’ events.

Terry passed away on January 30, 2019, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 69.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Terra Clabaugh (Jeff) of Dolliver, IA, and Deena Larson (Devin) of Leavenworth, KS; grandkids: Shelbie Jones (David), Megan Mack (Aaron), Tyler Fuller, Ashley Pettis, Emily Pettis, Brandon Clabaugh and Jessie Clabaugh; great- grandchildren: Avalon Jones, Mason Mack, Charlotte Jones and McKinley Mack; brother, Kenneth F. “"Oscar" and I were good friends who had stayed in touch with each other thru the years. (Until about 3 or 4 years, there were phone issues) Anyway, Terry was a great guy and it is nice to know he and "Gunk" will be hanging once again. They were great friends. I will miss knowing Terry is not around anymore. He is and has always been someone I think of occasionally and had always wished the best for. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to you all. Please feel free to get in touch with me. Again, prayers for you all.”

“What fond memories I have of Terry and Kenny when our Falline relatives got together, which was often. These last few years, I knew better than to call him when there was a sports game on tv. I loved him like a little brother. We will miss Terry's laugh and his positive attitude. May God bless you girls with comfort and peace during this time.
