“I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Helen. I stopped to see her at Christmas but she was sleeping so soundly that I couldn’t wake her so I just left a note. I have so many fond memories of staying with Grandma and Grandpa on the farm for a week every summer. Of course that meant that I was constantly playing with Lynette and hanging out at her house. Helen was warm and welcoming to all. I admired that she was such a great reader and, when I visited her in Long House, we would often talk about our favorite mysteries. She had a vital liveliness about her, and a sense of humor that was endearing. She was a wonderful woman. ”
