“My family (Burle & Doris Vance + "kids" Rita, Paul, Ruth Ann & Linda) and Charley & Minnie and their brood were all close during my childhood. Such wonderful memories of Sunday dinners & afternoons spent with them. Charley & Minnie opened their home to me when I left the nest for my first job at Winslow's at 18. They were like an extension of the love & security I felt with my parents. I will always cherish memories of Minnie's laugh & how her eyes crinkled when she smiled. Thank you, Minnie, for making the world a better place. You were dearly loved.”

“Betty was sorry to hear of your..mother's death. I so admired her stamina . Getting her self down to the dining room three times a day without help of an aid at her age. We weren't all that lucky and many years younger. May she rest in peace.”
