“We are so sorry for your great loss but heaven's gain! We both were blessed to know Esther, her sweet smile and kindness.

I (Sue) enjoyed hanging out with Carol at her house, probably talking about how cute yet gross boys were, and I started calling Esther 'mom'. She then called me 'daughter' and continued to do so through the years in person and in Christmas cards! I don't remember much way back then, but I remember thinking 'she is SO short', she was such a hard worker and I loved her hospitality & laugh! :)

I literally, a few days before Esther went home, found a Christmas card and letter that she sent to us the year Harry went home. I loved and looked forward to her hand written letters as she took the time to share, especially that year. She missed Harry so much and was adjusting to being 'alone'. However, she shared her love and appreciation for those around her, especially family, who stepped in to 'do the little jobs', driving her as 'Harry always drove' and sharing food. She told us that she spent a few days in the summer with Carol and how Carol came and 'fixed my house for Christmas'! She appreciated having Dennis & Char close and this is what she wrote:
"I'm so thankful I have Dennis & Char living close by. We go together to get groceries. And we go to church every Sunday. They are so good to me. I ride in the tractors and doing combining. That was great. They had to get steps so I could get in and out of combine and one tractor, but it was fun. It filled in my time."

Our hearts ache for you and your loss but with Christ as our Lord & Savior, we have Hope & Joy as we will be reunited one day and that is a great day to look forward to! Much love to all of you! Sue & Todd Woolston”
