He was so looking forward to retirement and it is just a shame he enjoyed it for only one year. He always had a twinkle in his eyes and a smile on his face. He did love people and enjoyed life. We need to remind ourselves to do the same and live each day as it might be our last. My prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time.

“I'm in total shock to hear about Jim passing. See him one day and the next hes gone. He was the sweetest guy.....always a smile and had something to say to you. He was a strict Hawkey and we are ISU family. When he had his garden on West 1st, he always tease me and so I make some ISU flags and put them on his fence at the garden. He got the biggest laugh at that. He loved to have fun that way! This is going to be hard, rely on God to help you through this and give him your pain. We will be thinking of you guys!!! God Bless!”
