“Ms Tuinstra taught Home Ec at Twin Rivers in Bode in the 1970s. Barely a week goes by that I don't think about something from her class. She was a very good teacher.”

“Remembering Darlene as a student of mine at the Harris Consolidated School many years ago and more recently as a dedicated volunteer at the Osceola County McCallum Museum in Sibley. She touched many lives with her friendly smile. Rest in Peace.

“My sympathy to Darlene's brother and sister and friends. My acquaintance with Darlene was in our youthful days at Bible camp. What a gentle, sweet spirit and I'm sure she was a tremendous teacher/mentor/administrator. She is now with her beloved Savior. ”

“I am so very saddened to hear about my dear friend Darlene's passing. Darlene was such a special friend. We shared so many good times together. Darlene and I attended Daily Vacation Bible School together at our little country Sunday school every summer, Girl's Camp at Raccoon River Bible Camp, 4H, and the same school (Harris Consolidated) through all our years. She had so many talents: a wonderful seamstress, a hair dresser, a very devoted friend, and I've heard a wonderful home economics teacher! We communicated from time to time over the years. I'm confident she is with Jesus at this moment, no longer suffering from pain and loneliness. I look forward to spending eternity with her!!”
