     Jean Ione Jacobson, the daughter of Mabel and Thomas Kleis, was born on February 8, 1924.

     She was baptized and confirmed in the Grove City, Minnesota area.

     She married Vernon Dornsbach on September 19, 1942.  To this union, five children were born: Veronica Jean Fowler, Linda Ardell Clercx, Vernon Richard Dornsbach, Jr., Bette Kae Henderson, and Michael David Dornsbach.

     After the death of Vernon in 1978, Jean married Curtis Jacobson on April 12, 1980.  They retired from farming to reside in Spencer, Iowa in 1997.

     Jean was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.  She was active in Spencer Senior Center and Meals on Wheels program.

     Jean enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family.

     Jean passed away on September 25, 2020 in the Albert City Nursing Home at the age of 96.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister, husbands, Vernon and Curtis and son, Vernon Jr.

     Left to cherish her memory are her children: stepdaughter, Karen Peterson; thirteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

VISITATION
PUBLIC VISITATION will be held from 4 to 6:00 P.M., Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
INTERMENT
Lone Tree Cemetery
