“Wedel Girls, It was so upsetting to hear of your mother's passing. We had so many good times over the years. We were great coffee buddies and always had something to talk about. Your mom was a superior bridge player and remained patient with me when we were partners. I feel fortunate to have had her friendship and will always miss her.”

“I will miss Sets. I also lived at Keystone Place and meet Sets after I moved in. I had to be careful not to mention foods I liked. She would be at my door with whatever I liked the next day. That was the beginning of our friendship. After Sets sold her car, I became her taxi. She loved to go for rides around the area. I will really miss her.”

“Dear Wedels, I’m sad to hear this. Your Mom was an icon in our town and she raised a bunch of great people. She treated me like her own and I have so many memories. Her idea of a late night snack (rice, egg, ketchup, soy sauce) will be with me forever. And that gold Cadillac that she let Connie and I drive as much we wanted as long as we filled it up? It got 4 mpg for God’s sake - we drove it ONCE! Your Mom knew exactly what she was doing! I haven’t seen Sets for years but I’ll miss her. Love and Hugs to you all.”

“Dear Connie, Toshie and Kimberly,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special person and a dear friend to my mom. I can picture them together at your kitchen table chatting over coffee, and at my house, laughing over a spirited game of bridge with the ladies. How wonderful that they enjoyed each others company and had a lasting friendship. I’ll always remember your mom as a strong minded woman and a terrific athlete. An unusual combination back then and incredibly awesome. I have fond memories of playing volleyball at the YMCA with your mom and the other ladies in her league…they taught me the game!
My heart shares in your loss.
