“So sorry for your loss. He will be so missed; and he was so loved..I so loved having him in daycare; along with Rylee and have so many memories. Thanks so much for the letting him spend the time he did with me and the other kids; think of it so often and especially that last visit when he came to the house and told me he just wanted to visit,,even now it is hard to express how much that memory means to me; he had lunch with daycare kids that day and once they were settled he stayed another 2 hours and truly was so special to have that time with him. Of course got my hugs from him too and will cherish that day forever. he was truly an amazing young man and May God Be With You in the days and years ahead..as know Sully will be in your hearts always. Love This Family So Much”

“To all who loved Sully, my deepest sympathy. He was an example of courage, endurance, and strength to all who knew him. Personally,, I remember vividly visiting a very young Sully when I was youth director at St. Paul Lutheran, Blue Earth, to bring him presents from our Sunday School and Release Time students when he was hospitalized in Rochester, and again, I remember the joyful tears that flowed when Melissa sent me a short video of Sully once again being able to ride his bike post-surgery. How full of life he was, and what a proud mom she was. Remember the joy, and rest assured in the confidence we have in salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

“We are deeply saddened by Sully’s passing, but forever grateful to have been a small part of his journey. We are blessed by so many fun memories, too many to list here, but 4 wheeling, walking and exploring the river, building things in the shed and watching Sully destroy a subway sandwich seamlessly without coming up for air are just a few of my personal favorites. Sully’s creeds of A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do, and life wide open are more than inspirational...They are Sully! We shall be forever grateful for his friendship, can do attitude, determination, perseverance and love. May God bless and comfort your family. God speed Sully, I fully expect Rylee to attempt a scooter burnout next time he rides since you gave away the front brake trick! You shall be forever in our hearts.”

“We asked Benjamin to share his thoughts about Sully when he learned he had passed. He was quiet, then started sharing about how Sully was always just so happy. Despite anything he was going through medically, Sully was "always just so happy in class." When Sully and his family first moved into Spencer, the kids loved to ride their mopeds everywhere. Sully joined the Spencer football team, and really was a big part of the team with his desire to play and upbeat attitude. Benjamin shared his visit with Sully this fall during football season, with Sully saying "I'm going through some things right now, but I am looking forward to playing next fall." Sully left us too soon, especially for his mom and dad. Praying you will find comfort that Sully is in the loving arms of our Lord, and that he was loved by many. His brightness will be missed. ”

“Before we ever knew who Sully was, we saw a young kid with a prosthetic leg riding his bike all over at Cuttys. We admired how he accepted his physical disability. Then we got to know your family and how he lost his leg and we admired him more. This past year we watched how he fought and the never ending family love. Losing a child is so difficult, but your family worked so hard and showed so much love. Thinking of you.”
