Adeline Elaine Westphalen, the daughter of Henry and Fannie (Heinonen) Glander was born May 24, 1940 in Frazee, MN. Her childhood years were spent in the Perham, MN area where she attended school.
Adeline married Bill Trunnell in 1958. They moved to Humboldt, IA before settling in Spencer, IA, and worked for Northwest Iowa Sewing & Music. Adeline married Jerald Westphalen on December 20, 1986 in Royal, IA.
Adeline enjoyed playing the organ, sewing, camping, teasing the dog, Shorty, and spending time with family and friends. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge.
Adeline passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hawkeye Care Center in Sioux Rapids, IA, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Cochran; 3 brothers, Lowell, Dale, and Kenneth Glander; and 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Barbara Glander.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jerald of Spencer; 2 children, Diane (Greg) Heidorn of Perham, MN and Pam (Paul) Orth of Menomonie, WI; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 11 brothers, Edwin, James, John (Emilie), Clarence, Henry (Sharon), Tom, Gary (Mary), Ralph, Gene, Donald (Ann), and Roger; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will take place 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 21, at the Warner Funeral Chapel in Spencer.
