Albert "Wayne" Wayne Burnham

    Albert Wayne Burnham died at the age of 91 on April 23, 2023, due to natural causes. He was born on November 8, 1931, in Lynnville, IA. He graduated from high school in Grinnell, IA in 1950. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Uprising and then graduated from AIB in Des Moines, IA. He moved to Spencer, IA in 1957 to work at Ryan Givens and Company, CPA which became Campbell, Higgins and Company, CPA, where he worked until he retired in 2000. 

    He married Barbara Larson Burnham at Bethany Lutheran Church on September 14, 1958. They had 3 children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. 

     He was active in his church, Faith Lutheran Church, a member of Evening Shade Lodge # 312, Spencer, IA Abu Bekr Shriners, Sioux City and an Active Driver in the Spencer ATV Corps. He spent many years volunteering at the Clay County Fair in many capacities. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. 

     He is survived by wife Barbara, children Michael (Virginia), Linda Asmus (David), and Roger (Jani); All grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, brother Russell Burnham, sister Carol Hudnutt, brother-in-law David Larson (Barb) and sister-in-law Norene Elwell. 

     He is preceded in death by father and mother Albert and Olive, father-in-law and mother-in-law Norman and Cleo Larson, brothers Charles and Kenneth, brother-in-law Mike Hudnutt, and sister-in-law Nancy
