Alice Jean Spears, the daughter of Harry and Myrtle Vernetta Weaver Spears, was born January 29, 1934 in Storm Lake, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Greenville-Rossie area, where she received her education graduating from high school in 1951.
Since 1951, Alice has made her home in Spencer, with the exception of 11 years, when she lived in Florida. She worked at Eaton Corporation for 18 years, until her retirement. She was a past member of Terril United Methodist Church. Alice was also involved in RSVP, did volunteer work, delivered Meals on Wheels and enjoyed bowling. She was a member of the auxiliary at American Legion Post #1 in Spencer.
Alice passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, January 4, 2005 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jacob.
She is survived by one son and his wife, James and Dora Spears of Bakersfield, CA; five grandchildren: Jeremy, James, Angel, Samantha and Kasandra; one brother and his wife, LeRoy and Elaine Spears of Spencer; one sister and her husband, Sharon and Clark Toland of Austin, MN; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2006 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
A lunch will immediatly follow the services at the American Legion Hall in Spencer.

VISITATION
Visitation will be from 2 to 9:00 P.M., Sunday with the family present from 2 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday afternoon at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
