Alice Patrick

February 16, 1932 — September 28, 2014

Alice Marie Patrick, the daughter of Nels and Julia (Anderson) Holmberg, was born February 16, 1932 in rural Dickens, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Dickens, where she received her education. Alice worked on a farm after her schooling and enjoyed raising horses. She married Burris Patrick on March 13, 1954 at Maple Grove Church in rural Sutherland, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Peterson and later moved to their family farm west of Peterson, where she worked at home and raised her family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed raising horses and her cats. Alice passed away at the Sioux Rapids Care Center in Sioux Rapids, Iowa on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burris in 1989; two daughters: Sally Martwick and Louise Patrick; two sons: Jerry and Dick Patrick; a son-in-law, Andy Bents; four sisters and three great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dwight (Robin) Patrick of Peterson, Barb Bents of Peterson, Dee (Mike) Creason of Cowgill, MO, Lois (Jim) Nelson of Peterson, Janet (Jon) Anderson of Peterson, Steve (Laurie) Patrick of Spencer, IA and Joanne (Steve) Lohr of Peterson; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters: Claire White of Monroe, MI and Jolene Green of Mitchville, IA; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 3rd at the First Congregational Church in Peterson.

A public visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 2nd with the family present at the Warner Funeral Home in Peterson.

Oakland Cemetery Peterson, Iowa The family would like to invite everyone in attendance at the services to join them at the First Congregational Church for a time of fellowship immediately following the graveside services.
