Allen Ray Tuttle

April 6, 1925 — September 11, 2006

Allen Ray Tuttle, the son of Fred and Hazel (Wilson) Tuttle, was born April 6, 1925, south of Royal, Iowa. They moved to Spencer when Allen was two years old. He lived in Clay county most of his life. He worked as a welder in Portland, Oregon for one year during World War II. He returned to Spencer and worked for Swift & Co. a short time and then at Spencer Pack for at least 25 years. Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports, especially watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Atlanta Braves. Allen passed away at the Spencer Hospital on September 11, 2006, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Melvin and Gary. Left to cherish his memory are his four sisters: Alice Tuttle, Vivian Tuttle and Lillian Jenkins, all of Spencer, IA, Hazel Hintz and her husband, Otto of Milford, IA; sister-in-law, Carrie Tuttle of Spencer, IA; many nieces and nephews; very special friends: the Sievers family and Blanchard family; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 14, at the Faith Pentecostal Church, Spencer, Iowa.

VISITATION
Visitation begins 1:00 p.m., Wednesday with the family present 5 - 7:00 Wednesday evening at the Warner Funeral Home of Spencer, Iowa.

Meadow Township Cemetery, rural Langdon
