Alta Anderson

Alta Anderson, the daughter of Claus and Dena Denei Wolthuis, was born June 24, 1912 in Everly, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Everly, where she received her education.
Alta married Dwight Holly Anderson on January 4, 1939 in Jackson, MN. Following their marriage, they helped with farm work on several farms near Royal, Iowa. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal. She enjoyed working in her garden and raising chickens. Alta also enjoyed visiting with friends and family and playing Bingo. She became a resident of Northshire Residence in Spencer in June of 2000 and later moved to Longhouse Residence in Spencer.
Alta passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dwight on September 17, 1988; her son, Ronald in his childhood; four brothers and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Darlene Herrin and Clara Feaster both of Spencer; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
