Alyce Mae Wade

     Alyce Mae Schoer Wade, the daughter of Harlan and Ella Struve Schoer, was born March 2, 1931, in Spencer, IA.  Living her entire life in the Royal, Rossie, Spencer area.  Started her education in a country school and finishing at Greenville-Rossie.
     On January 7, 1950, she married Lowell Wade.  They lived south of Spencer on a farm and she loved the farm life.  She was very active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she loved it! She also belonged to the South Lincoln Farm Bureau Ladies Group and the P.T.A. in the 1960’s.  Alyce worked at Eaton Corporation for 14 years.  Alyce loved her five girls, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she prayed for them all to remember her and the many happy times they all shared together.
     Alyce passed away on May 23, 2023 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 92.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her husbands, Lowell in 2001 and Lee Shatto in 2014.
     She is survived by her 5 daughters: Linda (Ross) Hunter, Leta (Bill) Huffman, Lola (Greg) Wood, Lorie (Lance) Christensen and Loretta Johnson; her grandchildren: Rod Hunter, Jill Dahmen, Sam Hunter, Clay Hunter, Chris Wood, Lucas Christensen, Zachary Christensen, Katelind McCauley and Klint Wiley; 20 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald (Sylvia) Schoer and her sister, Karen (Keith) Hart; other relatives and friends.
