Anna Christine Ott

February 5, 1916 — March 5, 2013

Anna Christine Ott was born February 5th, 1916 to Peter and Ida (Koechert) Nath in rural Everly, Iowa. She graduated from Moneta High School in 1934. Anna married Emmert C. Ott on September 8th, 1937 and there were seven children born to their marriage. Emmert and Anna farmed near Everly until 1960, when they moved to Minnesota to operate a resort. After Emmert's death in 1968, Anna moved back to Everly and she was employed as a cook at the school in Everly for over ten years. She was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Anna passed away on March 5th, 2013 at St. Luke's Lutheran Home in Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emmert in 1968; her daughter Margaret Ott Brown in 1986; her son, Maynard Ott in 2007; her granddaughter, Krista Ott in 2011; her brother, Elmer Nath in 1983 and her sister, Velma Nath Rosberg in 2012. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen Sjoberg (Alan) of Mora, MN; four sons: Merle (Mary) Ott of Portland, OR, Marvin (Mary) Ott of Grand Rapids, MN, Melvin (Linda) Ott of Leland, NC and Mitch Ott of Spencer; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Ott of Weatherby, MO; one sister, Alma Olson of Spencer, IA; one sister-in-law, Thora Grover of Spencer; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.

Lone Tree Cemetery Everly, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at Hope Lutheran Church immediately following the graveside services.
