Arlene Boettcher

July 6, 1920 — March 27, 2014

Arlene Meta Boettcher, the daughter of Ernest and Lilly (Grote) Boettcher was born July 6, 1920, in Grant Township, Buena Vista County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Grant Township area where she attended Zion Lutheran School in rural Storm Lake, Iowa, and later graduated from Storm Lake High School, in Storm Lake. Arlene enjoyed embroidery and traveling in her younger years. She was a life-long Missouri Synod Lutheran, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. Following school, Arlene worked as a telephone operator and later did domestic housework. Arlene passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and Orville Boettcher; and two sisters, Viola Buchholz and Hilda Schramm. Left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will take place 11:00 A.M.,Monday, March 31, at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
