Audrey Marlene Anderson

Audrey Marlene Anderson, the daughter of Andrew and Rena Whitford Hanson, was born August 2, 1937, in Spencer, Iowa. She grew up in the Ruthven area and attended school and graduated from Lake Center High School in 1955. In February of 1956, Audrey moved to California. She married Ronald Dean Dunn on June 14, 1958 in Las Vegas, NV. Audrey moved back to Iowa in 1961, living in the Ruthven area and then moved to Spencer in 1972. She married Glenn Anderson on April 5, 1975 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. Audrey was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and the Eagles Lodge. In her spare time, Audrey enjoyed crafts, decorating cakes, fishing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Audrey passed away on July 22, 2009, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 71. She is preceded in death by her father and one sister, Marge Snell. She is survived by her children: Tom Dunn and his wife, Lolita of Temecula, CA, Sandra Johnson and her husband, Mickey of Royal, IA, Pam Blume and her husband, Jared of Spencer, IA, Kim Dunn and his wife, Ann of Spencer, IA and Angel Weidman and her husband, Justin of Morgan, MN; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her mother, Rena Hanson of Ruthven, IA; 3 sisters: Bertha Lenz and her husband, Gary of Missouri, Beverly Herman of Iowa, Ellie Jakubowski of Illinois; 2 brothers: Murray Hanson of California and Glenn Hanson and wife, Marcia of Illinois; other relatives and friends.
