Audrey Rose Fairchild

     Audrey Rose Fairchild, the daughter of Herbert and Mildred (Stemple) Fransen was born October 2, 1930 in Bancroft, SD. Her childhood years were spent near Huron, SD before moving to Estherville, IA in 2nd grade. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1948 and continued her education at Estherville Junior College and Colorado University.

     Audrey married Estel Fairchild on February 13, 1953 in Jackson, MN. She worked as a teacher in Milford and Terril. She also worked at Village West. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

     Audrey passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, IA, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Shirley Holmstrom

     Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Estel of Spencer, IA; 3 children, Kathy (John) Nicholls of Altoona, IA, Mary (Jeff) Held of Arlington, VA, and James (Mary) Fairchild of Elgin, IL; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will take place 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 14, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
