Audrey Virginia Edwards

Audrey Virginia Edwards, the daughter of Albert D. and Marie F. (Brewer) Myers, was born May 5, 1929 in Rodman, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Rodman and later Emmetsburg, Iowa, where she received her education. Audrey married Harold Edwards in November of 1946 and to this union one child, Barbara was born. Audrey worked as a waitress for many years and also worked at Superior Manufacturing in the factory for several years as she raised her daughter. Throughout her adult life, she lived in the communities of Emmetsburg, Fort Dodge, Spencer and later New Orleans, LA until moving back to Spencer, where she lived at Sunset Apartments. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Lois Creveling and Kathleen Thompson; one brother, Charles Myers. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Kay Geerdes and her husband, Dale of Spencer; her brothers and sisters: Gordon Myers and his wife, Jeanine of Hastings, NE, June Meusburger of Elgin, SC, John Myers of Emmetsburg, IA, Mary Ewoldt and her husband, Homer of Spencer, IA; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.
