Barbara Jean (Armstrong) Mehren, the daughter of James and Louise (Donaldson) Armstrong was born April 7, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Arnold John Mehren on June 13, 1972, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and lived in the Spencer area her entire life until she entered the nursing home in 2003. She was employed as a Certified Nurse Aide in Spencer for 30 years.

Barbara passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Primghar, Iowa, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold on May 4, 1995; two sons: Stephen and Tim Foster; one daughter; and one sister, Betty.

She is survived by two daughters: Pam Ihnen of May City, IA, Jackie Delbani of Spencer, IA; two sons: Mark Foster of Spencer, IA, Tom Foster of Ashton, IA; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Memorial Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer
