Barbara Raye Tuttle, the daughter of Melvin and Carrie (Birchard) Tuttle, was born on October 25, 1955, in Spencer, Iowa. Following high school, Barbara attended the School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, IA, for two years. Barbara graduated with honors and went on to become a sign language instructor. After college, she taught sign language in Sedalia, MO, for two years. She also worked as a CNA at Longhouse/Northshire for 15 years, Lake Park Care Center for 2 years and Wal-Mart for 5 years.
Barbara was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer. She loved doing crafts, count cross-stitching, watching movies and visiting with family and friends.
Barbara passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011, at the Grandview Care Center in Dayton, IA, at the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Carrie of Longhouse in Spencer, IA; her brother, Bradley Tuttle and his wife, Sue of Spencer, IA; 3 nieces: Sarah Bonella and her husband, Rocky of Omaha NE, Meagan Mainelli and her husband, Matt of Omaha, NE and Amanda Lindquist of Spencer, IA; great niece, Alyssa Zylstra of Spencer, IA; many aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

There will be no formal services for Barbara.

VISITATION
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, from 2:00 - 4:00P.M., at the Warner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers there has been a memorial fund set up in her name.
