Beatrice "Bea" Eldora Johnson, was born March 24, 1921 the oldest daughter of William and Minnie Bowes Reeverts, who made their home in rural Dickens, Iowa. Bea grew up in Dickens on the farm. She attended the elementary school in Logan County. Bea attended high school through 10th grade at Lake Center.
She met Richard Johnson in Spencer and they were married in 1954 in Crystal, Minnesota, where they made their home. Twice a week for 19 years, she taught art classes in her home. She attended art shows in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, where her work was on sale. In 1975, she sold a painting in Spencer that is now in the Spencer Library. In addition to oil painting, her hobbies include knitting and crocheting. She loved nature and fed the birds and stray cats. Bea also enjoyed working outside in her garden with her flowers as well as cooking. She was a member of the Everly United Methodist Church. Bea and her husband retired and moved to Everly in 1996 to be near family. Her husband passed away in 1998.
Bea passed away at the Ruthven Care Center on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: June Krukow and Ella O'Clair.
She is survived by one sister and her husband, Arlene and Duane Milton of Langdon, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Beatrice is the sister of Arlene Milton of Spencer. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer

Visitation will be from 2 to 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

A lunch will be served at the Westley Room at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer following the graveside services.
