Beatrice Evelyn Coover

July 11, 1914 — November 21, 2007

Beatrice Evelyn Arms Coover was born to Roy and Mabel Garrett Arms on July 11, 1914 on a farm southwest of Spencer. After her father's death in 1915, her mother moved with the family to a farm near Greenville, where Beatrice spent her childhood, attending and graduating from the Greenville school. On December 21, 1932, she married Adrian Coover. They lived for a while where the Country Inn was located. After a few years, they moved to a farm southeast of Spencer, where they lived until Adrian's retirement. Following his retirement, they moved into Spencer. She was a longtime member of the Greenville Friends Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. When that church closed, she moved with the building itself and began attending and later became a member of the Spencer Church of the Nazerene, later known as the Spencer Family Church. Bede passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adrian on June 6, 1995; one brother, Herbert Arms; one sister, Florence Coover and her daughter, Carolyn Underwood. She is survived by one son, Keith and his wife, Shirley of Harwood Texas; two daughters and their husbands: Debra and Dr. Richard Maage of Hardin, Montana and Cynthia and Dr. Mike Alper of Danville, CA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Erwin and Marlyn Barglof of Linn Grove, IA; one sister, Pearl Welle of Milford, IA; twenty nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Spencer Family Church in Spencer, Iowa.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin 4:30 P.M., Friday, with the family present from 4:30 to 7:00 P.M., Friday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

INTERMENT
Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa A time of fellowship and lunch will be held following the graveside services at Spencer Family Church in Spencer.
