Beng Lovan, the daughter of Hau Hoang and Mone Lothi Hoang was born June 10, 1947 in Son La, Vietnam. Her childhood years were spent enjoying quality time with her sisters & brothers. In her early years, she worked as a Midwife.
Beng married Vinh Lovan on August 28, 1966 in Vientiane, Laos. They immigrated to Spencer, IA in January 1980. She worked at Longhouse for 25 years. Beng enjoyed cooking, playing cards, watching soap operas and game shows, and spending time with friends and family. Beng was the life of the party and was very social, always telling jokes. She also had a very caring heart. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer.
Beng passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Pane Lovan; and one brother, Hone Van Hoang
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Vinh of Spencer, IA; 2 daughters, May (Ty) Lo of Spencer, IA and Monica (Jesse Baccam) Lovan of Minneapolis, MN; 2 grandchildren, Jinisa and Nya Lo; brother and sisters from Canada and Germany, Mui, Kham, Keng, Lane, Young, and Leng.
