Berl Vincent Goff Ii

Berl Vincent (BV) Goff II, the son of Berl Vincent, Sr. and M. Virginia (Lonberger) Goff, was born October 4, 1965, in Emmetsburg, IA. BV began his education at Ruthven Consolidated High School, graduating Class of 1984, and continued on to attained his Associate of Arts degree at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.  During his professional career, he owned several businesses and held positions with the penal systems in the states of Iowa, Ohio, Texas and finally Mississippi, where he attained the level of Deputy Warden. During the evening of December 11, 2021, BV suddenly passed away from a heart condition at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS, at the age of 56. He is preceded in death by his parents. BV is survived by two sisters; Chris (Fred) Bredehoeft of Syracuse, NE, and Linda (William) Herman of Innsbrook, MO; and two brothers; Chuck (Janet) Goff of Amarillo, TX, and John (Lori) Goff of Lincoln, NE, as well as loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A grave-side memorial service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven on September 10 at 10:00 am.
