Bernita Meyer

January 11, 1930 — December 18, 2012

Bernita Minnie (Wilhelmina) Meyer, the daughter of Roy, Sr. and Meta (Massmann) Meyer, was born on January 11, 1930, on a farm near Primghar, Iowa. Her childhood and education years were spent in the Paullina and Hartley areas. Bernita moved to Spencer with her parents in 1957. She was baptized and confirmed in the Missouri Lutheran Synod faith, and was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Spencer, Iowa. In 1977, she made her home with her sister, Bernice Back and husband. She enjoyed music, handwork and car rides. Due to declining health, she moved to St. Lukes Lutheran Home on November 2, 2012. Bernita moved on to her next amazing life on December 18, 2012. She waits in Heaven for those she left behind. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Homer. Left to cherish her memory are her loving sisters and brothers: Bernice Back, Ethel Reese, Edna (Gary) Lundquist, Hilmer (Denyse) Meyer, Wilmer (Terry) Meyer, Roy (DruLene) Meyer, and Alana Blair; other nieces and nephews.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
