Betty Lea Schwarck

February 16, 1922 — November 9, 2016

Betty Lea Schwarck, the daughter of John and Alma (Pattee) Pullen, was born February 16, 1922 in Spencer, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, where she received her education, graduating from Spencer High School. Betty married Myron "Bud" Schwarck on February 4, 1945 in Spencer, Iowa. After their marriage, they farmed near Spencer for many years, until their retirement. Betty was well-known for her love of gardening and crafts, especially her corn husk art. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Spencer, the Progressive Club of Meadow Township, Eastern Star, and the class of 1939 (the 39ers). Betty moved to Riverview Terrace in 2015 where she remained active, enjoying the many new friends she made in the facility. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the age of 94. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud, a brother, Kenneth Pullen and a sister, Sarah Warburton. Left to cherish her memory are one daughter Lauralee and her husband, Alan Norgaard of Ankeny, Iowa; one son, Kurt and his wife, Julie Schwarck of Spencer; three grandchildren: Carey Norgaard and her husband, Tony Foy of Eugene, Oregon; Lauren and Emma Schwarck of Spencer; five great grandchildren: Sebastien, Anika, Bryce, Cirina and Macaulay of Eugene, Oregon; one niece, Jacquie Connelly of Byron, MN; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Visitation will be held prior to the services at the funeral home.

INTERMENT
Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 15th prior to the services at the chapel. Memorials are requested to be directed to the American Diabetes Association. A lunch and time of fellowship will be held directly following the memorial services.
