Betty Louise Bang

March 2, 1939 — April 23, 2007

Betty Louise Flack Bang, was born on March 2, 1939 in Palo Alto County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Elsie Jones Flack. She received her early education and graduated from Lake Center High School in May of 1957. After graduation, she started working for the Spencer Telephone Company in October of 1957. She worked for 35 years before retiring. Betty was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was 38 years old. Betty was a member of the Dickens United Methodist Church. She was a resident of Longhouse for 9 years where she made many friends. Betty passed away on April 23, 2007 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Debra and son Kenneth; infant great-grandson; friend, Jim VanVoorst. She is survived by her son and his wife, Jon and Stephanie of Peterson, IA; 5 grandsons; one granddaughter; 4 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; 5 sisters: Arlene (Bill) Hargrave of Dickens, IA, Lillian (Melvin) Whalen of Dickens, IA, Marie (Jim) Hyde of Albuquerque, NM, Frances (Keith) Mortenson of Dickens, IA and Linda (Lyle) Kenobbie of Greenville, IA; two brothers: Frank (Mary) Flack of Englewood, CO and Roscoe (Bobbie) of Tecumseh, MI; nieces and nephews and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Dickens Methodist Church in Dickens, Iowa.
