Beverly Jean Dunkelberger

December 2, 1942 — October 25, 2016

Beverly Jean Dunkelberger, the daughter of Ewald "Nick" and Arlene (Noble) Holler, was born December 2, 1942 in Correctionville, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the communities of Correctionville, Washta and Alta, Iowa until moving to a farm near Linn Grove in 1956, where she received her education. She attended college in Mankato, where she met the love of her life, Ron of Jeffers, MN Ron & Bev were married on June 9, 1962, at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove. Together, they were the parents of two daughters: Deb and DeeAnn. They lived in Mankato, Forest City and then moved to Spencer in 1967. She worked at the hospital as a secretary for many years until her health forced her to retire. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer, where she played the piano, organ and sang for many years. Bev had a kind heart and a strong faith. She always had a smile, hug and a kind word for everyone she met. She lovingly cared for Ron throughout the duration of his long illness. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandkids. In her spare time she loved walking, making cards for her family and friends and traveling. She passed away following a long illness at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron in 2005; a brother, Larry in 1941 and a sister, Nancy Maaland in 2006. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Deb (Scott) Tunink of Royal, IA and DeeAnn (Tim) Greenough of Spencer, IA; 2 granddaughters: Magan (Fiance', Stephan) and Tori; a grandson, Tyler; her siblings: Shirleen (Chuck) Waggoner of Chesapeake, VA, David (Julie) Holler of Greenville, IA and Denise (Randy) Jurgensen of Linn Grove, IA; a brother-in-law, Dennis Maaland of Everly, IA; very special friends, Jim and Mareen Erwin; lots of extended family and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 29th at the First Baptist Church in Spencer.

Visitation will begin 5:00 P.M., Friday, October 28th with the family present from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Friday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

INTERMENT
Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the First Baptist Church immediately following the graveside services.
