Billie Lee Myers, the son of Charles and Dorothy Strohman Myers, was born June 30, 1957 in Spencer, Iowa. He received his education from South Clay High in Gillette Grove, Iowa. Following his schooling, Billie entered into the U.S. Army and served during Viet Nam.
On November 25, 1978, Billie married Lisa Fischer at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Following their marriage, he worked for Freeburg Construction and then they moved on Lisa's family farm where they have lived and farmed. Billie enjoyed casino gambling, working in his new shop, attending car races, going to concerts with Lisa, shooting pool and going to auctions. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Spencer and the American Legion in Everly, Iowa.
Billie passed away on January 8, 2008 at the Lakes Regional Health Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at the age of 50. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and her husband, Cliff Nissen and his father, Charles Myers; one brother, Chuck Myers.
He is survived by his wife Lisa of Everly, Iowa; son, Dustin; daughter, Jessica; his grandson, Dayton Willison of Milford, IA; brothers and sisters: Jeannie (Myers) Stone, Terry & Paulette (Myers) Wilcox, Cliff & Brenda Nissen, Todd & Jane Nissen, Allen & Pam Nissen, Terry & Deb Nissen, Arlyn & Tracy Nissen, Erv & Becky Nissen, Gerald & Sharon Nissen, Marilyn & Dave Ruehle, Gloria Allen, Verla & Rich Grisham, Audrey & Steve Day; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 12, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.

Visitation will begin at NOON on Friday with a Catholic Vigil Service starting at 5:00 P.M. Family will be present from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Warner Funeral Home in EVERLY.
