Bobby 'Bob' Darwin O'Hara

Bobby Darwin O'Hara, the son of Maynard and Elizabeth O'Hara, was born December 7, 1929 in Beaver Dam, WI. He received his early education in Spencer and graduated from the Spencer High School in 1948. He then continued his education at Wayne College in Nebraska. While in high school and college, Bob played football. On December 6, 1969, Bob married Carolyn Walton. Following their marriage they made their home in Spencer. Bob was employed with Spencer Grocer Company for 27 years and then Draper Foods in Fairmont, MN for 11 years. He retired in 1993. Bob enjoyed bowling and was recognized in the Spencer Bowling Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed golfing, through the years he had three 'Hole's in One'. Bob passed away on October 10, 2013 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Spencer; their two children: Timothy (Nina) O'Hara and Angela (Scott) Merchant all of Spencer; 3 children from previous marriage: Rockne, Vikki and Robert; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Donald O'Hara of Spencer and Maynard O'Hara of Alabama; one sister, Jacqueline Miller of Kansas; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 14, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
