Bonnie J. Manwarren

December 3, 1924 — April 9, 2014

Bonnie June (Rudolph) Manwarren, the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Bahde) Rudolph was born December 3, 1924 in Hartley, IA. She received her education in Des Moines, Iowa schools. On Dec. 9, 1942, she was united in marriage to Eugene James Manwarren at her mother's home in Des Moines, Iowa. They were blessed with 6 children. Bonnie was employed as a nurse aide at Spencer Hospital and Longhouse during the early sixties. In the early seventies, she operated out of her home an exercise program. In 1976, she and her husband opened Humpty Dumpty Preschool and Daycare. They ran this operation until her retirement in 1994. Through the years she and her husband opened their hearts and home to many children, including foster children. Bonnie was a member of First Baptist church in Spencer and remained very strong in her faith. She enjoyed camping, crafts, crocheting and family gathering with her family. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she worked hard to give all a wonderful Christmas. These will always be cherished memories for all the family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years and a granddaughter, Jennie Jo. She is survived by her six children: Twila (Paul) Haldin of Iowa Falls, IA, Ron (Sandy) Manwarren of Spencer, Doc (Val) Manwarren of Spirit Lake, IA, Greg (Linda) Manwarren, Cindy (Mike) Carpenter, Norb (Kim) Manwarren all of Spencer; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Kenny (Nancy) Rudolph of Rocky Ford, CO; many nieces, nephews and one special lifelong childhood friend, Barbara Hinton of Ankeny, IA.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 14, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Spencer.

Will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday with the family present from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

INTERMENT
Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa In lieu of flowers, memorials are designated to Spencer Hospital Hospice or St. Luke Lutheran Home.
