Bonnie Lou Harson

September 9, 1935 — February 20, 2011

Bonnie Lou Harson, the daughter of Harold and Lula (Eddy) Fay, was born on September 9, 1935, in Palo Alto County. She was raised on a farm south of Emmetsburg, she attended and graduated from the Emmetsburg High School. Bonnie married Harold Harson on September 9, 1954, in Emmetsburg. Following their marriage, they lived in the Emmetsburg area for several years, before moving to Estherville, where she worked for Good Samaritan Nursing home and Wadco Manufacturing. The couple moved to Franklin, IL and then to Everly for a short time before settling in the Dickens area. She worked for Superior Manufacturing in Spencer until her retirement in 1976. While living in Dickens, she volunteered her time at the community center, library and served on the City Council. Bonnie enjoyed growing her flowers and watching the birds visit her many feeders she had in her yard, she also loved to spoil her family with her good cooking. In her younger years she loved camping, fishing and having picnics with her family. Bonnie passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the Sioux Rapids Care Center at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one sister, Marlene. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Harold Jr. and Christine Christianson of Everly, IA and Mike and Tammy Merry of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Bonnie D. Harson of Storm Lake, IA; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Shirley Ann of Rifle, CO, Jane Meins and her husband Robert of Homer, NE and Margaret Williams and her husband, James of Montgomery AL; one brother, Harold Fay and his wife, Dee of Deadwood, SD; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin after 11:00a.m., Wednesday, with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
