Bonnie Sue Trosin, the daughter of Arlo Gritten and Lois King Gritten, was born October 5, 1954, youngest of 5 siblings. She spent most of her life living in the Rossie area. Growing up on the farmstead outside of town, Bonnie spent her time riding her pony, helping Dad with hog chores, fieldwork and working on 4-H Projects, graduating from Clay-Central in 1972. In 1974, Bonnie married Larry Trosin from Dunnell, MN, to this union a son and daughter were born. They lived in Rossie for 31 years. You could find Bonnie playing softball with the kids or shooting a round of hoops. As a family they cleaned and mowed the Rossie Church for years. Bonnie always loved mowing around the evergreens at the Church, they were the perfect shape and the truest color of green and blue. She was a member of the Rossie Church until it closed, serving as Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.
Bonnie worked 20 years at Witco, until it closed in 1997, and then was given the opportunity to attend college for 2 years, which she really enjoyed. After receiving her diploma as Administrative Assistant, she worked for National Spencer for 11 years and also worked many years as the Rossie Clerk.
Bonnie felt one of her greatest accomplishments was learning to operate a motorcycle after the age of 50. Larry and Bonnie made many trips to the American Classic Cafe for coffee on their cycles. She especially loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren.
Bonnie passed away on February 24, 2014 at her home at the age of 59. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant grandson, Emmanuel Steuben.
