Brett Anthony Curry

 Brett Anthony Curry, the son of Darrell Lee and Lucille Marjorie (Skartwed) Curry, was born on June 21, 1966 in Newton, IA. As a young child his family moved to Aurelia where he was raised and attended grade school. The family moved to Spencer in 1980 and Brett finished his schooling and graduated from Spencer High School. Following high school, he attended Jackson Tech in Jackson, MN and obtained a degree in electronics.

 Brett moved back to Spencer and worked for Pixler Electric for roughly 20 years. He wired many commercial buildings in Spencer during his time there. He also built and fixed computers for several people.

 In 2008, due to failing health he retired. Brett enjoyed spending time with his grandmother, and the good meals she would cook for him. He liked riding his motorcycle and his 1970 Cutlass 442 was very special to him. 

 Brett passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by his mother.

 Left to cherish his memory are his two sons: Matt (Morgan) Curry of Cedar Rapids, IA and their child,  Carter and Kyle Curry of Little Rock, AR; his father Darrell “Buzz” Curry of Spencer, IA; his three brothers: Chris Curry of Spencer, IA, Todd (Sandy) Curry of Sequim, WA and Steve Curry of Sedona, AZ; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
