Brian Cory

Brian Elliott Cory, the son of Francis and Margoret (Betts) Melanson was born April 24, 1950 in Manchester, NH. His childhood years were spent in Manchester area, where he attended school and graduated from Manchester High School. Brian enlisted in the United States Air Force, and worked as a Military Policeman, until his Honorable Discharge. He then moved to Maine where he worked as a dishwasher, cook, pizza maker and police officer. Brian married Judy Cutting on April 20, 2000 in Limerick, ME. He started his own business, teaching ceramic making until his retirement in 2008, when he moved to Peterson, IA. He enjoyed painting, ceramics, hunting, fishing, and playing Santa Claus. Brian passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Judy of Peterson, IA; 4 children, Tammy Nieves, Elaine (Edmund) Cutting, Wendy, and Marcia Melanson, all of Manchester, NH; one sister, Maryanne Sherk; other relatives; and many friends.
