Bryan Jay Granstra

Bryan Jay Granstra was born on May 13, 1958 in Sioux Falls, SD. He went home to meet his Savior on August 31, 2017 at the age of 59. He was the beloved son of Barney J. and Shirley (Ruehle) Granstra both living in Spencer.

     He was baptized in Pierre SD Lutheran Memorial Church and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. He attended school in Pierre, SD, Huron S.D., Helena MT and Everly, IA. He graduated from Western Iowa Technical School in Sioux City, IA.

     He married Jeanne Roberts, and to this union two sons were born: Bryson John Granstra and Brody Jay Granstra, living in Norfolk, NE.

     He later shared companionship with Sherri Hanson. They shared many memories.

     Bryan’s son, Bryson married Desiree Phillips. Their children are Brooklyn Linn and Bently Jay who were dearly loved by Grandpa Bryan. When Bentley was born there were four generations of B.J. Granstras. This meant a lot to Bryan.

     Bryan’s second son, Brody Jay, recently graduated high school and is attending college.

     Bryan’s sister, Sheryl (Sherri) Stephas, wife of Rod Stephas, Spencer, IA; two half-sisters: Debbie Probst (Robert) of St. Louis Park, MN and Teri (Wayne) Millard of Stewart, MN.

     Bryan enjoyed driving trucks. He also enjoyed working with his cousin, Mike Berkner, who he loved like a brother.

     Bryan proudly served his country serving in the U.S. Navy.

     He made many friends wherever he went and tried to keep in touch with them all. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Memorial Services will be 1:00P.M., Saturday, September 9, at the the Warner Chapel

One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
MUSIC

INTERMENT
Private family burial will be at a later date.
