Caleb Short

Caleb John Short, son of Rich and Becky Bedsaul, was born July 13, 1982 in Denison, Iowa. Caleb and his family moved to the Sutherland area in 1991, where he spent the majority of his life. Caleb attended South O'Brien High School, graduating in 2000. Caleb lived in Sutherland and worked at Freudenburg in Spencer. In 2002, Caleb met the love of his life, Jessica Bennett. He was the proud father of their son Nicolas John Short, born in 2006. Caleb, Jessica and Nicolas resided in Sutherland along with family and friends. Caleb enjoyed spending time with his brothers Blake and Zach, helping out with their band by writing lyrics for some of their songs. He also enjoyed hanging out with his brother Thacher having deep discussions about life and playing video games. Caleb enjoyed playing poker with his friends and surfing the web. Caleb had a very good sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. Left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Jessica and his son Nicolas of Sutherland; his parents, Rich and Becky Bedsaul of Sutherland; his brothers, Blake and Zach of Sioux City and Thacher of Phoenix, AZ; his grandparents, Homer and Darlene Cannon of Dunlop, IA; a niece, Brea of Paullina; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
